Jiaozuo, China, 21 May 2019: Lomon Billions officially launched its two new chloride TiO₂ pigment production lines at a ceremony at its chloride TiO₂ pigment manufacturing site in Jiaozuo today.
In February 2018 the company committed to a RMB 1.8billion (USD 285m) investment in 200ktpa of additional chloride TiO₂ pigment manufacturing capacity. Construction of the first of the two new 100ktpa chloride TiO₂ pigment production lines at Jiaozuo is complete and commissioning is underway. Commercial production from the first line is expected in H2 2019, and from the second in H1 2020.
At the launch ceremony Lomon Billions Chairman, Mr Xu Gang, said the company has vigorous development plans that include investment in innovative ultra-low emission sulfate TiO₂ pigment manufacturing technology, increasing vertical integration into its feedstock, and expansion of its chloride TiO₂ pigment manufacturing capacity still further.
The new production lines at Jiaozuo increase the company’s chloride TiO₂ pigment manufacturing capacity to 300ktpa and its overall TiO₂ pigment manufacturing capacity to around 900ktpa, promoting Lomon Billions to the world’s 3rd largest TiO₂ pigment manufacturer.
